Brastel’s my050 is now chargeable(application fee and maintenance fee) and requires personal identification documents for new applications. I once used another 050 number service, smatalk, and was automatically terminated without realizing it. So, Brastel users beware.

According to the terms of service, if you are on the old plan (no maintenance fee), my050 will be terminated after one year of no charges or paid calls. If you use it, it will be extended for one year each time you use it.

Ransomware by the name of Facebook

I have a part of me that Facebook is ransomware. The other day, I typed in the legit credentials and 2FA on Facebook sign-in page in vain. Facebook didn’t let me log in. The page said, as far as I remember, that I tried to log in from the different device than usual. To top this all off, they asked me to turn on my identification, even though I surmised that they would have no way to prove it to be my ID. In the course of this story, they suggested that I log in from other devices which had been used before to log in, or that I get an authentication from my friends on Facebook, both of which were not in my case.

Electricity bill = Power consumption (Wattage/watts) / 1000 * Hours of use (Hours) * Electricity rate per kWh (27 yen/kWh)

Only Watt is requisite, so find Watt anyway.

Note:

Power consumption (Wattage/watts) = Pressure of the electricity (Voltage/volts) * Amount of electricity used (Ampere/amps) is also acceptable.

For kWh, the standard unit price for electric power consumption set by Home Electric Appliances Fair Trade Conference is 27 yen/kWh (from 2014), now became 31 yen/kWh in 2022. The culculation below is based on 27 yen/kWh.

I’ve updated iOS and it’s annoying that Bluetooth is automatically turned on every time. Apple should not override what the user has configured.

Apple makes location a commodity, i.e., Find My and AirTag, and to ensure its accuracy, it’s better for them to have something that can identify your location turned on all the time. Apple uses Bluetooth to communicate with nearby iPhones. Even though GPS, mobile connection(cellular and data connections), and Wi-Fi are turned off, if Bluetooth is turned on, they can determine iPhone’s location by Apple’s network. That is why they want Bluetooth to be ON as much as possible.

When I deleted my ProtonVPN account, I received an email notifying me that the deletion was complete. ProtonVPN’s site has no third party analytics so far and there are no beacons in the email. It looks so clean, but the links in the email contained UTM parameters.

If you click on the link of Rakuten Mobile on the top page of Rakuten Ichiba, you will instantly redirected to a different page than viewport. The url displayed in the lower left viewport will change to another url by JavaScript the moment you click on it.

It doesn’t make sense to have the practice of checking viewport for security. It looks like a phishing ploy.
